Kampüs+ ("the App", "we", "us") is an independent mobile application designed to help university students manage their campus life. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, how it is stored, and what rights you have regarding it.
Kampüs+ is an independent application and is not an official application of any university, YÖK (Turkish Council of Higher Education), or any other public or governmental institution.
01 Data We Collect and Process

1.2 Student and Academic Information
Voluntarily provided by the user in their profile:
- Student number

- Grade Point Average (GPA)
- Lesson count and course schedule–related information
Kampüs+ does not request or store your university system password.

- Email address
- Phone number (used only for the profile / contact features that require it)

- Profile color

- Favorite module preferences
- Module order
- Other in-app preferences
- First-launch status
1.5 Usage and Statistical Data
- First login time / last login time
- Total login count
- Lesson count
- Modules used within the app
- Notification preference
- Other selected in-app usage data
1.6 Wallet / Balance Information
The App includes an optional wallet feature where users may manually enter balance information such as a meal card balance. This is a self-reported tracking tool only — Kampüs+ does not process real payments, does not connect to banking systems, and is not responsible for the accuracy of user-entered balances.
02 Location Data
Kampüs+ may request access to the device's location to enable certain features (e.g., campus/bus/transportation features). Location access is used only while the relevant feature is in use and/or with the user's permission. Kampüs+ does not intend to continuously track location in the background without explicit permission. You can disable location access at any time from your device settings.
03 Camera and Photo/Gallery Access
The App may request access to the camera or to photos/media on your device in order to set a profile photo or use related features. This access is requested with your explicit permission, only when the relevant feature is used, and only to the extent required by that feature. You can change or revoke this permission at any time from your device settings.
04 Notifications
Kampüs+ may send notifications for purposes such as:
- Class/lesson reminders
- Bus/transportation reminders
- Event notifications
- Announcements
- Custom reminders created by the user
- Important app-related notices
You can disable notification permissions at any time from your device settings. Reminders you create may be scheduled as local notifications on your device.
05 Firebase and Google Services
Kampüs+ relies on Google Firebase to provide core services, which may include:
- Firebase Authentication
- Cloud Firestore
- Firebase Cloud Messaging
- Firebase Storage
- Firebase Remote Config
- Firebase Cloud Functions
- Firebase Analytics
Data processed via these services may also be subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy. See Google's Privacy Policy.
06 Sign in with Google
Kampüs+ offers Sign in with Google to simplify account creation and login. When you sign in with Google, the App may access basic account information provided by Google, such as your name, email address, profile photo, and an identifier associated with your Google account. Kampüs+ does not see or store your Google account password.
07 Purposes of Processing
- Creating and managing your account
- Maintaining your session
- Operating app features (class schedule, campus, transportation, etc.)
- Displaying student information to the user
- Sending notifications and reminders
- Storing user preferences and personalizing the experience
- Improving app performance and reliability
- Detecting and fixing technical issues
- Maintaining app security
- Responding to user inquiries and support requests
- Complying with legal obligations
08 Data Sharing
Kampüs+ does not sell or rent your personal data. Personal data may only be shared with, or processed by, third-party service providers to the extent necessary for the App to function, including:
- Firebase and other Google services
- Authentication providers
- Cloud infrastructure and technical service providers
These providers have their own privacy policies and data processing terms. Kampüs+ may also disclose information where legally required, or to protect its legal rights.
09 Data Retention
Data associated with your account is retained for as long as your account remains active and the related services are being provided. When you request account deletion, the process of deleting or anonymizing your associated personal data will be initiated. Some data may be retained for longer where required by law (e.g., for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution).
10 Account and Data Deletion Requests
You may request the deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us at serif.mete.aksoy@gmail.com. We may ask you to verify your identity/account ownership before processing the request. Once reviewed, your data will be deleted or anonymized in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
11 Data Security
Kampüs+ implements reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and device secure.
12 Children's Privacy
Kampüs+ is intended for university students. The App does not knowingly collect personal data from individuals below the applicable minimum age. If a parent or legal guardian believes a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
13 Third-Party Links
The App may contain links or webviews directing to university systems, websites, map services, or other third-party services. These third parties have their own privacy policies, and Kampüs+ is not responsible for their privacy practices.
14 Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data — KVKK, and where applicable, the GDPR), you may have the right to:
- Learn whether your personal data is being processed
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data
- Object to certain processing activities
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
15 Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page along with an updated effective date. For significant changes, we will attempt to notify users through the App where reasonably possible.
